Joshua L. Fisher, Esq.
Criminal law office managing attorney, Joshua Fisher, graduated from FAU with a BA in Philosophy, then got his law degree (JD) from Nova Southeastern University in December, 1997. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1998, and then to the Southern and Middle Districts of the U.S. Federal Criminal Court. Not only does Mr. Fisher have experience in as a Criminal Defense attorney in Florida Federal and State Criminal Courts, but he also admitted to file and argue criminal appeals in Florida's 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.
His strengths as a lawyer revolve around his patient and understanding nature, his availability to his criminal clients, as well as his vast legal knowledge and experience as an aggressive, well-respected criminal defense lawyer, having tried and negotiated beneficial resolutions of several well-known cases and having tried' serious criminal jury trials in Broward County Criminal Court and Miami Dade Co. Criminal Court, as well as other State and Federal Criminal Courts in Florida.
Josh Fisher is a long-standing member of Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (FACDL) and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL).
Peter A. Butlien, Esq.
South Florida Criminal defense attorney, Peter Butlien, graduated from the University of Miami, 1991, with a BA in Marketing. He graduated from Brooklyn Law School, and obtained his Juris Doctorate in 2002. He thereafter was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2002 and the Southern District of Federal Criminal Court in Miami in 2004.
He gained valuable experience as criminal defense lawyer in Miami Dade County's State Attorneys Office, where he prosecuted DUI, misdemeanor, and felony cases for several years. Thereafter, he gained civil litigation defense experience at a statewide insurance personal injuries defense firm, handling defense litigation in many premises liability, automotive liability and other civil cases. To further his exposure and hone his litigation skills, he was chosen by a boutique civil litigation firm, specializing in Estate Law, Probate litigation as well as business litigation matters.
Having a desire to defend criminals in Miami Dade and Ft. Lauderdale, in 2006 he joined Joshua Fisher and formed Fisher and Butlien, P.A., Mr. Butlien concentrates his practice on Criminal Defense, but his vast civil law experience has expanded their practice competency to other Civil litigation areas.
He is a member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Miami Chapter.
